Blocked Countries for ATM, MasterCard Check (debit) Card, and VISA Card Transactions

Please contact Member Services if you plan to travel overseas or utilize your Frontier CCU cards for international purchases. 

VISA cardholders are subject to certain country blocks at all times. These measures are necessary to protect our members from fraud.  As always, we are here to serve you.

In order to better protect our members from certain types of fraud, Frontier CCU blocks the following countries from processing transactions.

 

Mexico Bangladesh Pakistan Taiwan Turkey South Africa Ukraine Russian Federation Thailand Honduras Singapore Romania Croatia Saudi Arabia Hong Kong Italy Nigeria Syria* Spain (eff 11.01.11) Australia (eff 11.01.11)

*Notice. The United States government issued an executive order on August 18, 2011 prohibiting the exportation, re-exportation, sale, or supply, directly or indirectly, from the United States, or by a United States person, wherever located, of any services to Syria. In response VISA and MasterCard have instituted a block of all transactions originating in Syria and all accounts issued in Syria. Cardholders are no longer able to use their cards at ATMs, merchant locations or e-commerce websites inside the country or internationally.

Use VISA TravelMoney Instead

VISA TravelMoney can be used in most countries, even if our ATM and Check Cards have been blocked to insure the security of your accounts. VISA TravelMoney cards are safe, convenient, and the cards may be reloaded.
